When you rent a vehicle from Payless-or from any other company-you are responsible for returning the vehicle in the same condition as when rented, air wear excepted. If the vehicle is damaged, you are responsible for the cost of repairs, our loss of use of the vehicle, diminished value of the vehicle caused by your damage to it or by repair of the vehicle, and an administrative fee to cover our cost of processing a claim against you or an insurance company.

To protect yourself and your insurance company from claims for damage to the rented vehicle you may purchase for $_____ per day (See specific location policy) a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). If you do, we will waive our right to collect from you, or your insurance company, all, or everything over $________ (depending on the state, see specific location policy), of damage to the vehicle. This is the real purpose and value of CDW.

There are exclusions to CDW, such as driving while intoxicated. The exclusions are stated on the reverse side of the rental agreement.
