Senior Web Designer

 

We are seeking a creative and talented professional to lead the creative design, production, development, planning and testing of all website designs, branding, and electronic promotional materials.� Workload will include web page production, graphic elements and illustrations, and Flash based interactive content for the web.�

 

Job Summary:

Areas of responsibility include web design, web copywriting, website management, creating new designs for various corporate websites, and developing unique customized web pages based on requirements and specifications.

 

The ideal candidate must be:

• Able to chart an appropriate user experience through a site or other interactive project
• Able to design according to the company identity guidelines
• Very detailed yet able to envision the 'big picture' and make significant contributions to the company's strategic use of web as marketing medium
• Flexible enough to design and manage around corporate and partner challenges as they arise
• Able to show a history of understanding user targets and creating interfaces that capitalize on that knowledge to affect user behavior and compel users to action
• A team player with a desire to be an integral part of a growing and progressive organization

 

Qualifications include:

• Four or more years of work experience focused on website design
• Capable of developing realistic project schedules and effectively tracking its progress to meet challenging deadlines and corporate initiatives
• Must exhibit finesse for visual communication and interface design that is grounded in the principles of color theory, typography, and layout
• The ability to collaborate and communicate with SEO is critical
• A commitment to quality
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team

 

Areas of expertise:

• Effective website design and copywriting
• HTML, DHTML and CSS
• Design presentation skills / Storyboarding (for design approval)

 

Software skills:

• Adobe Photoshop / Image Ready
• DreamWeaver
• Flash
• Fireworks
• Adobe Illustrator (a plus)

 

Compensation:

Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
